Pretty cool. I loved those types of spontaneous moments - don't seem to occur so much nowadays.

I just happened on an old Guitar World mag during housecleaning and it had a reprint of an old 1971 interview with Duane.

Who is the most exciting person that you've ever jammed with?

"I'd rather jam with my own band than anybody alive! I've the best players there are. But I'd like to jam with anyone who likes to play, and anybody who likes to can come around to our set anytime. Now, Jerry Garcia - there's one I love to play with".

It's a cool moment to have the two meet on the radio; unfortunately there's not much Duane on guitar (he didn't bring one). The jam seems to be Weir & Duane doing some country licks; then Duane does a very short Davy Graham instrumental. The rest of the session was just Bob & Jerry doing a few of their acoustic tunes.
